The Systems Thinking Approach to Cyber Resilience

The article, entitled "Incorporating Systems Thinking into a Cyber Resilience Maturity Model.", co-authored by Avi Shaked, Lior Tabansky, and Yoram Reich and published in December 2020 by IEEE Engineering Management Review, explores a systems thinking approach to cyber resilience. Specifically, it relates to critical infastructure and services in their sectoral system context, reimagining them as a system of systems. It explores the dimensions of operation and domains of practice concepts that are embedded into a sectoral cyber resilience maturity model. The article exposes how these concepts frame a set of expressions that are designed to probe the sectoral design space; and propose how they may be further used as design considerations for improving the sector's cyber resilience.
