Israel's Ministry of Regional Cooperation was established in 1999. The first elected official to serve as Minister of Regional Cooperation was Shimon Peres, who tasked the Ministry with overseeing and managing Israel's relations with countries in the region. One of the strategic areas that the Ministry is seeking to provide support in, is the development of greater cybersecurity capability in the region. One of the ways that they are seeking to achieve this is through their support of TAU's RCRL.
